The Faculty Senate met once during the Summer and approved a proposal to merge the School of Computer Science into the College of Engineering.

The University’s proposal for a Medical School.
Academic Learning Compacts [a joint administration-senate committee is reviewing all compacts for approval].
The yearly calendar and a possible need to revise starting dates given significant changes in the public school systems’ calendars.
Classroom utilization as well as enrollment management.
Personnel Policies for non-bargaining unit faculty members [approximately 20% of the faculty—a joint administration-senate committee will be looking implementation of these policies].
A major compliance initiative.
The so-called Academic Freedom initiatives at the state and national level.
Several reorganization proposals regarding Arts and Sciences as well as Architecture.
An administrative initiative to re-examine and re-conceptualize the “univeristy/community” relationship.
